Rabies survivor leaves hospital in Lima Ohio
Seven year old Matthew Winkler left St. Winkler Hospital after beating an acute rabies attack from a bat bite last Oct. 10. Doctors say he is free of rabies symptoms but will remain under careful follow up with home schooling and a tutor. The boy celebrated with a birthday cake and plans to bounce on his ball and ride his rocking horse before returning to first grade.
