Explorers as heroes praised by Uncle Ray's Fifth Grade class
In a History note for the scrapbook, Ramon Coffman recalls questions from a MacArthur School fifth grade group and underscores explorers praised for courage and service. Figures named include Raleigh, Coronado, Da Gama, Columbus, Magellan, Mackenzie, Lewis and Clark, Livingstone, Stanley, Peary, Amundsen, Scott, and Amundsen. The piece invites readers to submit questions to Uncle Ray for a chance at a 20 volume World Book set.
