Interstate Box find May Unearth Cullman Check Fossil

A remodeling at Interstate Folding Box Co in Cullman uncovered a March 1 1905 check for 339.92 drawn by the Cullman Brothers on Oglesby Barnitz Co Bankers. John Kinder of the firm believes the wood floor hid the document for years while workers hauled debris to a city dump near Carmody Boulevard. The check, linked to leaf tobacco sold by Warren Smith, was found near Rt 4 and may have survived inside the warehouse debris undetected.
