Hamilton Council Sets Study Of Water Line Purchase

Council voted 4 to 3 to appoint Howard Hack Wilson to head a committee to study buying the Wright water line and to negotiate with Millcreek Valley industries for surplus water sales. Negotiations cut the line price from 1 268 000 to 750 000, saving Hamilton about 500 000. Final sale action rests with the Council. A wage dispute with utilities linemen prompted a $25 monthly negotiation baseline, and a $3 annual motor bicycle license tax was approved.
