Black Jack the Army’s oldest horse celebrated his 28th birthday with cake at Fort Myer near Arlington. The riderless horse has appeared at thousands of funerals and served in many presidential ceremonies for Kennedy Johnson Hoover. He’s based at Ft Myer with the 3rd Infantry since 1953 and has a long record dating to his 23 years with the Army.
