Merchants Call Off Street Parking Before Loading Zones
The Iddietown Retail Merchants Association Loading Zone Committee urges the police chief to provide off street parking first. Jerome Inwood and Boy Patterson said downtown parking needs immediate off street facilities before adding truck loading zones. They argued off street spaces would prevent congestion and ensure adequate parking for motorists. The proposal to create 12 loading zones was noted but delayed until off street parking is established. The recommendation will go to City Manager H. W. Starick.
