Brubeck and Sons Bring Generations of Jazz to Miami
Dave Brubeck, his sons Darius and Chris, and the Brubeck sidemen join the Miami University A Cappella Singers for a Sunday program titled Two Generations of Brubeck at Millett Assembly Hall starting 8 15 p.m. The show, directed by George F Barrom, is part of the Artists Series and features Brubeck’s extended religious jazz works including Light in the Wilderness. Tickets cost 175 for adults and 50 cents for students with ID.

Bowling Green State University President Hollis Moore announced a committee will study shortening the bachelor degree to three years to cut costs. Dead Woman Found In Freezer Shot Aug. 4
Police say Grace Evelyn Todd, 34, was shot in the head last Aug. 4 and stored in a home freezer. Her husband, David Wilfred Todd, 38, a truck driver, was ordered held without bail on noncapital murder charges. Todd reportedly lived with the Cassidys after Grace disappeared in December. A group of youths unlocked the sealed freezer with improvised tools and found her body.

Tuition Hike Expected at Ohio University
Ohio University officials say room and board charges will not rise for 1972-73 but a $300 yearly tuition increase appears likely. The anticipated $30 tuition rise would be smaller than last year’s $180 undergraduate hike, which included a $90 tuition boost and a $90 room and board rise.
