Insured Rocket Set For Next Try At Orbit From Cape Kennedy
NASA scheduled Tuesday night for another attempt to lift the Delta rocket with the Intelsat 3 satellite after a fourth launch failure blamed on a wiring fault. Small igniters flashed as countdown reached zero but a loose wire was detected by an emergency system, halting the sequence before liftoff. Insurance premiums total 872000 dollars with a potential payout of 4.57 million if orbit is not achieved.
