City Budget Adopted By Middletown Commission
Middletown’s City Commission adopted a 1959 budget with a general fund of 1,590,668 and total funds of 2,828,244 for the year. The planning commission will be expanded to nine members, with two new terms three years long, and voting members changed to exclude ex officio roles. Appointments were made to electrical, heating, plumbing, and park boards, and a Manchester Avenue lot option was exercised for 15,000. Forestry experts list the top ten world trees.
