Graniteville train crash kills eight in South Carolina
A Norfolk Southern freight train derailed near Avondale Mill in Graniteville at 2 30 am causing a chlorine leak and a toxic cloud. Eight people died and about 200 plus were treated for respiratory illnesses as 5 400 residents within a mile evacuated and shelters set up. Governor Sanford declared a state of emergency as decontamination units opened and a curfew was imposed.
