Lodge says Eisenhower could still be candidate in primaries
Standing before a large Eisenhower photo Lodge told reporters the general is as much a candidate as Army rules allow. He refused to say if Eisenhower’s name will appear in other primaries while stressing Eisenhower is in the race to the finish. Lodge noted Eisenhower would not seek office but would answer a party call to public service. The note on cococa and 1520 is unrelated and omitted.

Swiss cop offers combined brake accelerator to cut crashes
Jakob Gossweiler of the Zurich police traffic division proposes a pedal system that blends brake and accelerator. He says using the heel to gas and the ball of the foot to brake keeps the foot ready to brake and would cut gasoline flow when braking, potentially reducing crashes by about 80 percent. He estimates 800000 lives could have been saved in the US over 50 years.
