Dr. Austin R. Whitmore argues reconciliation with God is man’s basic need and the key to fulfilling life. He condemns sectarian and racist divisions, urges redemptive involvement, and says the ministry of reconciliation requires identifying with others to invite them to turn to God.
The weekly Christian Science lesson sermon centers on the theme of God. The Golden Text from Philippians emphasizes rejoicing and divine peace through Christ Jesus for Sunday worship across Christian Science churches.

A renewed School of Religion sponsored by the Middletown Area Council of Churches will begin January 29 at The First Methodist Church. Classes run Mondays 7 30 to 9 15 pm for six weeks under Rev. Charles Grube with an enrollment fee of 3 dollars to cover texts and materials. Advance registration required by January 23 through local churches.

Logan Avenue Church of Christ announces a 10:30 a.m. worship with F Wayne Dunn speaking on A Prosperous Church. At 6 p.m. Robert Reeves of Ashland Kentucky will discuss If You Had Only One Sermon to Hear. Bible school starts at 9:30 a.m.
A congregational meeting to elect new church officers will be held January 17 at First Presbyterian Church. The business meeting will follow a covered dish dinner starting at 6:30 p.m.
The Rev James W Phillips of Bainbridge will be guest speaker at the 10 45 a m worship service tomorrow at Bethel AME Church. He was educated in Bermuda and has served as assistant pastor at Allen Chapel AME in Somerset Bermuda and pastor of Wayman Chapel AME in Dayton before taking the Bainbridge post.
LaVerne Morse, professor in the missions department at Cincinnati Bible Seminary, will speak at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Parkway Church of Christ. The open public event recalls his work as a missionary in Burma, Tibet, and China, and his experiences with religious persecution. He recently toured Thailand, Saigon, Australia, India, and New Zealand.
The Rev. Robert McNamara will speak on An Original Reproduction at St Pauls United Church of Christ during 8:15 and 9:25 am worship services. Church school begins at 9:15.
