Lifeline Call From 250 Miles Away Aids Suicide Attempt
On New Year’s Day 24 year old Terry Feckett of Chicago attempted suicide by overdose. A Lutheran minister in Sparta Wisconsin received a late night call from him and spoke for 90 minutes before he collapsed. Police traced the call but could only confirm it originated in Chicago. Feckett was found unconscious in a North Side apartment and rushed to Swedish Covenant Hospital in critical but stable condition.
