Annual Tea Dance Attracts Nearly 400 Middletonians
The Episcopal church’s annual Tea Dance drew almost four hundred Middleton residents and guests to the Manchester Hotel Ballroom yesterday. Jimmy Wilbur’s orchestra played from 4 30 to 9 p.m. The event featured holly centerpieces, Paris scenes from the Charity Bail and red poinsettias, with Mrs. Robert A. Wilson as general chairman and a long list of committee helpers. Tables were reserved for many local names as decorations and service stations enhanced a festive start to the new year. Green peas and cauliflower with cheese sauce accompanied corned beef hash, with cole slaw or hearts of lettuce and Thousand Island dressing for salad.
