Planned Parenthood to honor three in Butler County

Planned Parenthoods Butler County Association plans a soth anniversary dinner on Wednesday night at 7 in the Room at the Miami University Present Center in Oxford. Honorees include Dr Warren Thompson David T Lewis and Mrs Orton Stark for their contributions to population studies and leadership. Dr Thompson longtime Scripps population expert and Miami ally will speak with Dr Lewis recognized for sociological work.

Opera winner wins 3900 and trip to national finals

Annie Walker, 22, a University of Cincinnati graduate student, won the Tristate Metropolitan Opera auditions and earns 3900 plus an expense-paid trip to New York for national semi finals and finals March 24-27 in Bloomington Indiana. Water buffalos are used extensively as draft animals by the Vietnamese in the rice paddies.
