Fraternity Fire At BG Damages House. 14 Hospitalized
A blaze at the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house on Bowling Green State University campus forced about 30 students from the brick structure. Fourteen were taken to a hospital, eight admitted, none seriously injured. A cigarette left on a couch sparked the fire. 42 residents were listed, some away for the weekend. The most seriously hurt was Michael Kuhlin, 20, of Long Island, N.Y., with burns on hands and face.

Buses Collide On Indiana Toll Road Killing Four
Two chartered Ohio buses collided on the Indiana toll road west of South Bend injuring 29. A car accompanying the buses killed four Ohioans including Julius X Jackson and Foster Dawson. A 4 year old boy from Archbold died in the crash. several passengers were hospitalized. Police cited smoke from corn cob fires as a contributing factor.
