Aeronca Officials Return From Apollo-Saturn Briefing
John Wetherbee and Knight Goodman return from Cape Kennedy after attending NASA and industry briefings on the Apollo-Saturn 1B unmanned test. Aeronca supplies the outer hull heat shield panels for the command module, manufactured as stainless steel honeycomb sandwich and processed by North American Aviation and Avco. The test, set for Wednesday, was postponed by heavy rains along Florida’s east coast.
