The Ohio Supreme Court received a $5,000 bond for Willie Mae Mallory, jailed in Cleveland for extradition in a North Carolina kidnapping. Cleveland attorney Walter Haffner arranged bond for the 35 year old woman, but release was not issued yet. An assistant prosecutor aimed for a full court hearing on the bond set by Chief Justice Taft. Mallory is sought in Monroe, North Carolina, for kidnapping a white couple during a 1961 racial disturbance.
Columbus Ohio AP reports action to modify an injunction stopping state use of liquor fund money until back bills are paid Attorney General William B Saxbes office states the move will be taken today to address funding claims and restore payments to creditors.
The Weatherman reports colder temperatures through Saturday with scattered light snow flurries likely. Two and a half inches of snow fell over the weekend. Yesterday’s high reached 31 with a 26 low, and today’s low was 21 at 3 am as temperatures edge upward.

Authorities investigate the four hour blaze in Macon to determine the cause of the general alarm fire that destroyed the old Wesleyan College and three apartment buildings. The vacant four story brick shell remains as demolition for a new post office proceeds. Two firemen were injured and over 30 families were displaced by the Sunday fire.
London AP reports researchers using an electronic computer conclude that St Paul authored only four of the fourteen Pauline epistles in the New Testament. The full scientific study will be published next month by Dr. G H C MacGregor of Glasgow University and Rev A Morton of Culross Abbey Fife.
