Weatherization program funds blocked by county commission
Butler County commissioners delayed approving five CETA workers requested by the Community Action Commission to expand home weatherization. CAC says $100,000 more federal funds are available, with 104 homes weatherized since 1976 and 200 to 250 more possible. Past misuse fears cited. CAC pledges tighter reporting and seeks another chance.
