Seven Juveniles Escape Detention Home Then Are Captured
Four boys and three girls escaped the Montgomery County detention home yesterday by overpowering a guard. They were caught hours later in a hay mow on a farm about 25 miles southeast of Dayton after a farmer reported seeing them. The escape followed the guard being tied and the group leaving the three girls free. A boy later told the guard he was ill prompting the investigation. Babylonian clay tablets with cuneiform inscriptions were also found mentioning pay for eight hours work on canal construction.
