Banquet Attendees Hear Pythians Speaker On Happiness
More than 200 members wives and guests attended the Knights of Pythias 85th anniversary banquet at Lafayette Lodge Castle Hall Friday night with Rev William Alexander of Versailles delivering a humorous talk on sense and nonsense and the pursuit of happiness. Woodrow Wilkinson presided and Rev H H Jung gave the invocation as music by the Pete Jones quartet accompanied Pauline Porter. Alexander traced happiness from Adam and Eve to modern life warning that wealth fame and keeping up with the Joneses fail to buy joy urging generosity as the path to true happiness.
