About 500 mill managers and 500 union officials held 11 sound off sessions as both sides pursue a three year settlement with wage gains of 10 to 12 cents per hour and gains in job security while seeking tax relief through depreciation. The informal target date remains early March. Steel workers now earn about 2.284 to 4.58 and a half per hour.
