A Hamilton man Merle Waddell, 21, was held for investigation after being charged with slugging a man with a bottle and robbing him of 320 dollars. Howard Shepard, 36, of Cincinnati charged Waddell after an argument near 1 West Court Street. The assault occurred in an alley off West Court Street. Shepard said both men went to the alley to settle the dispute and Waddell slugged him and robbed him. The victim received scalp cuts and was treated at General Hospital.
