Garbage Collection Troubles Denied By City Investigator
Middletown service officials and city investigator Jess Dennis denied reports of widespread garbage delays. Dennis said routes are behind only on Lakeside and Upper Arlington but extra trucks should restore normal service by Saturday. He noted wage issues and worker complaints caused some trouble, with replacements already in place and more hires sought. Residents’ late pickups generate callback slips for tracking, and the city dumps waste in Warren County while disposal grounds await bulldozer operator approval. An unsafe rear-wheel tracking issue for cars was also noted.
