Seven Mile Police Chief Faces Insubordination Malfeasance Charges
Seven Mile council will hold a March 5 hearing on insubordination and malfeasance charges against Police Chief Karl Moyer. Mayor Charles Listerman accuses misuse of a private car for police work and charging $7 for gasoline to the village. Moyer says the dispute stems from a personal quarrel with the mayor, notes he answered a rape report in his private car, and paid the gas bill himself after the incident. He has served nearly 12 years as part time chief for about $800 yearly and will not attend the hearing due to a second shift job.
