Funds Donated for Rebuilding Athens Church

In Athens Ohio donations toward rebuilding the First Methodist Church after a fire began arriving. Sabrejets Outfight MIGs Over Yellow Sea

Two American pilots Lt Ge E Salmon and Capt George F Williams Jr said their 12 Sabrejets and an RB45 on a training patrol near Osan repelled eight MIG15s. They reported two MIGs shot down with no American losses and no markings on attackers. Parachute pilot rides strange winds for 35 minutes over Texas

Col. W. O. Beane of Norfolk, Virginia, ejected from a T33 trainer after fuel ran low near Randolph AFB. He hung for about 35 minutes in 7,000 feet darkness as vertical updrafts tossed his canopy, sleet and fog preventing view. A rancher gave coffee after he landed in a tree with only scratches.

NYU Graduate Student Found Choked and Fatally Stabbed

Anne Yarrow, 23, a Guilford College honor graduate and New York University student, was found choked and stabbed in a sixth floor Manhattan tenement. Police described the scene as brutal after a friend found the body and a possible sexual assault was noted. Neighbors heard screams and a phone call to her father was reported. her parents live in California and Astoria, Queens respectively.
