Ultra rich to buy SS United States for sea condo plan
Four American executives led by William Wyant plan to refit the SS United States, now in mothballs at Norfolk, into a 282 unit ultra luxury living ship. They will pay $13 million to acquire the 990 foot liner and invest about $20 million to refurbish it for 76 days yearly at sea, berthed in New York, Florida, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and two European ports.
