DP&L Extends Gas Curtailments Across 24 Ohio Counties

The Dayton Power & Light Co extends maintenance level gas curtailments through March 19, affecting more than 14,000 DP&L customers in 24 western Ohio counties. Utilities served by the pipeline may apply similar curbs. Middletown High School will close next week.

Chicago Trains Collision Kills Eleven Injures Over Two Hundred

A Chicago Loop crash between two elevated trains amid a snowstorm killed 11 and injured more than 200. Pipeline to import Algerian gas amid curtailment plan

Meteorite strikes Louisville home leaving three foot hole

A rock hit a Louisville roof creating a three foot hole and shattered a ceiling beam. The softball sized rock weighed about 2314 pounds and showed metallic grains and black crusts. Doctors from the University of Louisville tentatively classify it as a meteorite pending further tests.
