Seagoing School Brings Caribbean Pupils to Class
On St. John, Virgin Islands, students ride the Grey Gull seagoing bus to Red Hook and transfer to land transport for Charlotte Amalie. Each weekday at 7:45 a.m. the launch sets sail with about fifty uniformed pupils, returning home at 4:30 p.m. The sea voyage keeps children active, curious, and equipped with sea legs.
