Weather layoffs hit Ohio as claims soar statewide

Long lines formed at the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services in Cincinnati as weather and gas shortages drove new jobless claims to rise sharply. Officials warned claims could climb fivefold from recent weeks, with about one million Ohio workers potentially out of work.
