Post Office Defends 13 Stripes on Flag Stamp
Washington AP reports debate over the new five cent flag stamp design. Stamp dealer Richard Coda Sr of East Orange NJ argues the flag shows 13 red stripes, while postal officials attribute the illusion of misalignment to wind motion. Officials say the design is correct and the top stripes origin is obscured by the flag’s flutter.

Ohio academy calls for more family doctors in state
The Ohio Academy of General Practice representing 1880 family doctors says new medical schools or expansion won’t fix the issue. It cites 49 counties with inadequate family physician service and 41 towns with no doctor within five miles. Only 17 percent of Ohio State University medical graduates go into general practice, compared with 31 percent of peers in the north central U.S. The group says current training is specialty oriented and urges emphasis on family physicians.
