Project Discovery Tests In Classroom Film Libraries
Four elementary schools in the United States pilot a project supplying classrooms with a Britannica Films library and Bell & Howell projectors. Teachers and students act as researchers to evaluate how films improve understanding of matter states and vocabulary. A weather film helps second graders grasp liquid solid and gas concepts through clouds rain and frost with two films weekly cited as effective. Refraction lessons are aided by a fish bowl demonstration.
