Christmas Tree Farmer Builds 20,000 Acre Operation
Fred Peste, leader of The Douglas Fir Christmas Tree Co., grows and ships over 300,000 trees from a 20,000 acre Washington farm in Mason Thurston Kitsap counties. He started in 1923 and, with Clarence Stohr, runs a $250,000 plus yearly business supplying retailers across the West.
