Parliament Disturbed By Fruit Fight
In London Labor MP Barbara Castle accused colleagues of shame for eating South African fruit. Sir Herbert Butcher, chairman of the committee buying South African sliced pears oranges and wines, retorted if she disliked it she need not eat it. Castle called the remark outrageous and cited a UN boycott resolution.
