Mason citizens committee plans to file an injunction in Warren County Common Pleas Court to block the city council from enacting an income tax. Ken Reinhart says the group gathered support and funds over the weekend and will meet with their attorney to finalize the filing. The committee also seeks a referendum if the injunction fails, after previously having a referendum petition ruled invalid. The city faces a projected $70,000 deficit next year, and Mayor Donald Molman says the tax measure is necessary to avoid financial crisis.
