No jail term for Kunstler and Chicago 7 contempt group
Judge Edward Gignoux freed William Kunstler and Chicago 7 defendants David Dellinger Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin from contempt sentences without jail. He faulted Judge Julius Hoffman and prosecutors for the original trial while noting the group contributed to the contested conduct. All defendants were cleared of the 1968 trial charges.
