November Jobless Rate Drops Amid Labor-Force Decline
The U S unemployment rate fell to 3.4 percent in November the sharpest monthly drop in 10 years but officials caution the decline reflects people leaving the labor market not a turnaround Employment total rose by 45 000 to 78 700 000 with the civilian labor force shrinking 83 000 as secondary workers including teens women and young men exited the labor force.
