Viet Cong and North Vietnamese gunners fired 300 to 400 rounds at 37 allied bases and towns near Saigon. Twenty seven South Vietnamese were killed and 104 wounded in shellings and three terrorist attacks. Eight American aircrew died when two helicopters were shot down near An Loc.
