AK Nails Down Coke Supply Through 2009
AK Steel Corp has secured a coke supply pact with Shenango Inc through end of 2009, extending beyond the prior 2005 expiration. The deal stabilizes coke prices while allowing Shenango to adjust for metallurgical coal cost swings. AK aims to lock in long term material contacts as shares jump to 12.88.
