Four related individuals aged 62 to 86 were found dead in a south St. Louis apartment. The group included Arthur Forrester, Lucille Forrester, Mary Conkling, and Blanche Conkling. Police said all appeared to have shot themselves and left notes.
Richard Mazziotti 14 confessed to killing his 23 year old aunt Mary Lou Wright in her basement apartment. Police say he used a soda bottle, lamp, paint sprayer, jar with cord, a carving knife and strangulation in a frenzied attack. Wright left behind two young children unharmed. Her husband Robert Wright was away hunting during the weekend.
