Health officials say tainted batches at Chiron Corp may delay some flu shots but do not create a vaccine shortage. About 4 million doses appear tainted, not enough to affect overall supply, with assurances that ample doses will be available. Dr. Julie Gerberding of the CDC says the situation is not a crisis and more doses will be produced. Chiron holds 50 million doses for further testing to ensure safety.
