New York AP reporting as the seventh week of the steel strike continues, United States Steelworkers President David J. McDonald returns to talks amid opposition to using Taft-Hartley to force workers back. President Eisenhower reiterates reliance on collective bargaining while industry negotiator R. Conrad Cooper hedges on invoking government remedies, clarifying he does not endorse Taft-Hartley in this case.
