Investors Club Ponds Through Soup and Apples Protest
In Salt Lake City 20 investors sold apples on street corners and posed in ragged clothes to mock the stock market decline. Andy Schilly says each member’s holdings fell about $5,000 since the downturn as they staged a 1970 themed meeting with a singing telegram and a soup meal for indigents before parading stock losses and dummy brokers from a downtown window.
