Ohio senior heating bill subsidies face funding fight
As the legislature returns for a two week session, Ohio's plan to grant 25 percent discounts on heating bills for seniors and the disabled stalls in the Senate over funding. Officials warn subsidies may not reach winter, even if approved, due to administrative delays and a $92 million two year cost. Governor Rhodes and aging director Janis push for passage amid political maneuvering.
