Syrian rebel arms delay widens rift over aid
Rebels and diplomats say U S promised arms to Syrian opposition have not arrived after more than two months. Khalid Saleh of the Opposition Coalition says no delivery date exists and the nature of military aid remains unclear while U S lawmakers debate funding and risk of Islamist access. The White House cited lethal chemical weapon use as basis for aid but still limits to non lethal gear reporting ongoing vetting and political caution.
