Girl drawn to pond by pet rabbit dies in Madison Twp
Abigayle Abi Steinmetz, age 2, vanished from her Dickey Road home and was found face down in a nearby pond minutes after her father returned with flowers. Despite CPR and ambulance after a 911 call, she died at 5:10 p.m. at Middletown Regional Hospital. The family suspects the rabbit Snoopy may have spooked her toward the water as officers investigate.
