Lost Boy Found After Eight Days In White Mountains
A 12 year old boy missing for eight days in White Mountains National Park was found on Mt Passaconaway by hikers. He told rescuers I am Danny Crowley and I need help and said he prayed nightly to be found. He drank from a waterfall and ate blueberries then walked to a highway with two helpers. The boy remained in good condition at Conway Memorial Hospital after the rescue by Arthur Anderson and Tom Desrosier among more than 200 searchers.

Chicago police detective James A. Alfano Jr. was shot in the back while in an unmarked car near the Southmoor Hotel, a hangout for the Black P Stone Nation.
