Ohio Secures Funding for Record Bus Order
The Ohio Department of Education now has 5 million plus available to back a 1,224 bus order. State Superintendent Dr. Martin Essex said 65 297 dollars granted by the State Board funds the largest bus order in U.S. history, allocated to several manufacturers under a central bidding plan. The plan, challenged in court by bus body distributors, uses voluntary local bids routed through the state to secure bulk purchasing.
