No sign of airplane. Oxford search is off
A yesterday air search for a possibly forced down plane near Oxford was called off by Butler County Sheriff's Department after deputies and Civil Air Patrol pilots scanned Richmond Indiana and southern Preble County with no results. The effort will resume only on a definite missing aircraft report. A Mayday distress call was reported by a Hamilton radio operator and hunters later heard an engine and a flash of light with screams. Fog delayed the dawn search.
