Firebombing scars Pat Nixon girlhood home in Cerritos

Police have no motive or suspects after an early Sunday firebombing damaged the small green shuttered house where Pat Nixon grew up. A flammable liquid was poured on the south wall of the recreation hall adjoining the home, firemen extinguished the blaze in about five minutes causing roughly 1500 dollars in damage. Food costs rise for low income families in June

Agricultural Department figures show a low-cost four-person family plan at 44.10 per week in June up 0.20 from May while moderate and liberal plans edge higher to 55.10 and 66.70 respectively. Year over year increases reach 17 13 and 12 percent.

Weather clears as heat returns in southwest Ohio

After showers and storms today, weather clears tonight with a low in the 60s and sunny skies tomorrow high in the low 80s. Through Wednesday to Friday there is a chance of showers or storms, followed by warm conditions with 80s highs and 60s lows. Middletown saw 77 yesterday and 66 this morning, with just under half an inch of rain over the weekend.

Appalachi an industrial drive urged by ARC study

A federal ARC funded study says the main need in Appalachia is industrial sites.
